OS Reinstall - Readynas Ultra 2
Hi guys,
I'm attempting to do an OS Reinstall boot on my readynas Ultra 2 as my readynas was getting users confused with shares available. So I've done the selection of the OS Reinstall option and then, as per the instruction, I pressed and released the "reset" button at the back. However, now, I'm just worried that that did not do anything as all of the lights on my readynas front panel have dimmed out (including the Power button light) and my Raidar says "No disks detected".
I'm just wondering from those of you who have performed a OS Reinstall, whether the lights dimming at the front of my readynas is normal and how long it should take to perform an OS Reinstall :/
Thanks for the help!

- RXLuminaryHave you followed the steps indicated on this link for OS reinstall: http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detai ... ,-or-pro-2,
Do you a backup of all data stored in your NAS? - NhellieVirtuosoOs reinstall should take roughly about 10 mins max, if there is no disk detected OS reinstall will not proceed since the OS of the NAS is on the disk. Test your drives using manufacturer diagnostic tools.
- blueCosmosAspirantYes, I did follow that procedure. I have backups of my data stored elsewhere yes.
- blueCosmosAspirantThanks Nhellie.... It is odd however...
