Yes.
Note some of the rackmount chassis can't handle > 2 TB disks in every slot (a hardware limitation). But that's not an issue with the RN4200v2. So you should upgrade the firmware - that will let you use the larger disks.

ok...
you gave me the idea. i solved the problem now.
I ´ve tried a WD Red 4tb, Seagate st4000, WD Green 3tb, WD blue 3TB . Same problem for all disks.
Now, i´ve added a 1tb wd blue and it works. ^^
Probably it´s the old firmware that can´t handle larger space than 2tb.

Yes.

And since you've already done a factory default, now would be the time to consider moving to OS6 on your 4200V2. It's not officially supported by Netgear, but it works and aleviates several problems related to the old Debian distro OS 4.2.x is based on.
