OS6.2.4 on Pro 6: Communication Error

Current state: "Cannot connect discovery server" on LCD; device is visible and data are accessible; web interface shows "Error Reporter: Communication Error" right after accepting name and password.

 

The story: Pro 6 Pioneer was upgraded with Xeon X3210 CPU, 2x2Gb RAM, had 6x3TB drives in it and was running 6.2.4 for some time. Then, on sudden blackout, UPS battery failed, and Pro 6 didn't turned on. I realized that it has a problem with PSU (thanks for the community!) and repaired the PSU by replacing 6 bad condensers in it, $0.12 each. Hardware is working fine now. All the data were backed up, so I installed a new set of disks and started my experiments.

 

So far I have tried Factory Reset, USB recovery tool, OS reinstall - no luck, still "Communication Error". Now I found a VGA header for Pro 6 and USB keyboard and ready to try something else to restore the ReadyNAS OS6. I suspect that some part of OS6 interface is failed to start, but, being a newbie in Linux, I have decided to ask for the community's help. So, have any ideas or suggestions (other than installing a Synology DSM on this box)?

    The USB Boot Recovery you did messed up the EEPROM. Looks like you did some other things that may have messed things up a bit too.

        Thank you very much for such a quick and prefessional help! Yes, it is working just perfect now. I suppose that my multiple efforts to do USB recovery (some of which have failed) may have added the troubles to the initial problem.
