christerj77's symptoms when updating to R6 are consistent with not doing the required factory default (wipes all data, settings, everything) as part of the procedure to update to ReadyNAS OS 6.
This is not a case where USB Boot Recovery should have been attempted.
The Prep add-on if installed before the firmware update should force a factory default as part of the upgrade. If it doesn't you can still do a factory default via the boot menu.
