OS6 now works on x86 Legacy WARNING: NO NTGR SUPPORT!
Update: It is now unofficially possible using NTGR images to update legacy hardware to os6.X See Post #3, for directions to install 6.2.1 on x86 Ultra and Pro Models. (ARM NOT SUPPORTED by this OS) ...

I just found this thread, and were asking myself the following.
Is the 1st post still up-to-date ?
By that I mean :
If i'd like to switch from OS4 to OS6, would that be by using the "ReadyNASOS-6.0.4-x86_64.img" as described in the first post, or can I go straight to the last version which I did get from the READYNAS-300 repository (ftp://downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/READYNAS-300/)
I have a ReadyNAS Pro Pioneer Edition (RDNP6000)
