OS6 now works on x86 Legacy WARNING: NO NTGR SUPPORT!
Update: It is now unofficially possible using NTGR images to update legacy hardware to os6.X See Post #3, for directions to install 6.2.1 on x86 Ultra and Pro Models. (ARM NOT SUPPORTED by this OS) ...

I also have an Ultra 2 and it's been a long time that the fan speed is fixed on our model (when I install OS 6 in sept 2014, it worked from the beginning like in OS 4.x and I never had anything to do on my Ultra 2. I believe it was OS 6.0.8 and we are currently at 6.1.8 ).
