OS6 on ReadyNAS 3100
Hi
There is a thread on RN3200 and OS6, where paviles write that "Thanks so much, it worked perfectly"!
Can anyone make a similar assertion for RN3100?
On wiki at http://netgear.nas-central.org/wiki/OS6_on_Legacy_x86 is:
which means only first 4 devices are usable. But since RN3100 only has 4 internal drives this "limitation" seems no real limitation?
Can anyone confirm?
TIA

ReadyNAS 3100/4200 - These devices likely will suffer from a similar issue as the above ReadyNAS 3200.

- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredThe 3100 doesn't have the 8 port SAS/SATA controller used in the 3200/4200. I agree with you that the comment on that wiki is incorrect when it comes to the 3100.
Anyway more recent versions of OS6 should work on the 3200/4200.
You can try OS6 and if you don't like it you can downgrade: http://www.readynas.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=75198
