Persistant Static Route on ReadyNAS 102

Howdy Everybody, I'm a new ReadyNAS user and let me say right off that this device exceeds every expectation I had. The fact that root enable SSH access is giving without a 3rd party hack is amazing. But onto the topic. I'm trying to add a persistent static route on the ReadyNAS 102. The web front-end didn't offer the capability as far as I can tell, but I was able to add one using the Linux route utility. I would like to make the route persistent. I've tried adding it to every start up file that I know of (cron-@reboot, init, if-up.d) but none of them seem to execute my route command at boot, or if they do the web front-end config maybe overwrites it after the fact?

Does anybody have any experience in this area?

Thanks, Samuel.

  • Samuel,
    Static routes are a function of a router. There is no facility for this on a RN102
    web interface. I personally cannot support you on Linux.

    Are you sure you don't mean a Static IP?
    If so, you should be able to map drive, for example
    //192.168.xx.yy/share
    What is the reason for Static route?

    Thanks, Marto
