Another possibility is that you are using flexraid, and named the volume something else.
Assuming the volume is called data, then open CMD and enter
net use * /delete
net use t: \\ip-of-nas\data /user:admin nas-admin-password
That should mount "data" as drive letter t.

how do i turn on hidden folders within the NAS so i can copy my data over to the other folder that aperantly Plex decited to make?
First you need to use windows credentials to access the data volume.
From there it helps a little if you enable hidden files from Windows. But you can enter \data\.apps into the address bar and get into the .apps folder.

The Plex app for the RN214 is the Annapurna build, the one for "ARM 6.x RN2XXX" available at plex.tv/downloads. Is that the one you installed both now and previously?

That is what i used to update, since the plex app was no longer downloadable through the READYNAS app store, and when i was on the plex site i tried to download the other arm 6. one but for some reason my nas system said it couldn't use this app/program/file.

I believe so, when using the file explore of windows 10 i log into \\"Name of Nas"\data and \apps, the only things i see is the main folders created "videos/music/pic..." but no app folder. i have also tried with the IP Address of the device also.
