PLEX Won't run/load on RN316 after upgrade to 6.6.0

Prior to updating to 6.6.0, PLEX was running fine.  After the updae, PLEX was removed from my system (w/o my intervention).  Since the upgrade, I have been unable to any verstion of PLEX manually (including 1.2.2).  I have tried to revert back to 6.5.2, but the system won't let me.

I'm assuming that PLEX is going to have to update their software to be compatible with 6.6.0.

Anyone have any words of wisdom?

Dennis

  • I manually installed Plex from the backend and updated OwnCloud.

Glad that Plex is now working again for you.

Did you try rebooting the system, and try uploading plex again (via the apps page).

There were some missing packages in the NAS, and Netgear pushed an update (which should happen automatically when you reboot).

Note that info from Netgear suggests that the problem was limited to the arm platforms, so the reboot/retry might not work (but will do no harm).

      Any other apps installed?

Plex on the RN316 should have just worked after the upgrade.

        mdgm, thanks for the response.

The other two apps installed are 'Owncloud' & 'SMB Plus'.  PLEX Server (0.9.146) was installed and running before the upgrade to 6.6.0.  After the upgrade to 6.6.0, the PLEX app was removed from my system, without my initiation,  It just dissappeared from the system.

Since then I have not been able to re-install any of the last three versions.

      Thank you for the reply.

Yes, I have rebooted several times.  Just to make sure something hadn't been added recently, I just rebooted with the same result ("Cannot Install Application").
