I thought it might be interesting to see what kind of performance everyone is getting with IO Meter so that we can compare what we're getting. So I thought we could all post our results in this thread...
Dear Netgear support!
I've a question about my ReadyNAS NV+. You can see my parameters about my system, and the IOmeter results. Is it possible to increase my read speed?
Operation system : Windows XP SP2,
ReadyNAS Network settings: Jumbo frames enable
RAIDiator version: 4.01c1p1
Performance tap settings: Disable full data journaling & journaling; Enable fast CIFS writes and fast USB writes
Network switch model & firmware: Linksys SML2008, fw.: 1.0.1
NIC on your PC: Intel(R) Pro/1000 PT
Number of disks and disk models: 2x500GB WDC WD5001ABYS-01YNA0
The read/write MB/sec numbers from IOMeter. No need to post the entire result file unless requested.
Read: 23.74MB/s (256k,seq.)
Write: 36.74MB/s (256k,seq.)
With Total Commander (Also use big file copy mode : 10240k&256k):
Read: 14-15MB/s
Write: 25-26MB/s
