When you select the factory default (wipes all data, settings, everything) boot menu option it wouldn't take long before the NAS comes up, particularly if you press the backup button during the 10 minute timeout period.
Do you recall which firmware you were running?
Do you have a backup of your data?
I don’t recall which software rev it has, I know I’ve upgraded couple times since I bought it in beginning of 2014. So it may have the latest.
And I don’t have a backup. My UPS failed few weeks ago and I’ve yet to replace, we had power outage during a recent storm, all electronics in the home reset, but it seems the RAS102 never came back online
What do you see in RAIDar when you try to boot the NAS?
RAIDar aslo was not able to see the RAS102.
But last night I tried the memory test again and this time I left it, after about 15min the power LED was off and Drive1 LED started to blink, left it overnight and this morning all LEDs were on. And Power button did turn device off this time, after power it back on. The NAS102 is visible is connecting (getting IP address).
So, now RAIDar come back with
Status: Volume data RAID level JBOD, inactive : 0 MB (0%) of 0 MB used
Firmware: 6.2.5
Going thru the setup seems to just cycle thru, after entering the info, after you are set message, it goes to reconnect and starts over asking to start the setup again.
Not sure why the 2TB HD is not recognized
