Power Timer - do_exit+844

ReadyNAS 104

Firmware 6.4.2

4 disks (4x Seagate ST3000DM001 3TB disk)

Power Timer is Enabled.

Every night when my system should turn off, it goes to sleep in some sort of coma.

It ignores the timer power-on signal in the morning.

When I arrive

* power is on,

* All disk-leds are blue

* Power led is blinking

* system website is not available

* Display says: do_exit+844

* Power button doesn't work

The only way to solve this is to unplug the cable en plug it in again.

The system-log didn't register the error.

The only line is:

Systeem: Het systeem wordt uitgeschakeld.(something like: System is shutting down - in Dutch)

Can anyone help me ?

  • Hi Marzz,

    Welcome to the community!

    Give the 6.5.0-T322 Beta Firmware a try and let us know if it fixes the issue.

    Kind regards,

    I believe we have a fix for this in 6.5.0, which a beta should soon be released.

    Do you also have jumbo frames enabled? If so, you can work around this by going back to 1500 MTU.

      Thanks for your quick answer. :smileyhappy:

      Teaming was on (Round-Robin)

      Jumbo frames was on (set to 9000 MTU)

      Now I lowered it to 1500 as you sugested.

      I'll test this setting as soon as possible and come back with an answer.

      Good to know this is part of the coming firmware update.

        Unfortunately lowering the network settings to 1500 MTU didn't work.

        My readynas still didn't respond in the morning after I set this parameter.

        Now I disabled the power-timer as a workaround and I'll wait for the firmware update.
