Pro 2 Cyclic Noise
I just received my Pro 2 (2x2TB) unit and I am hearing a noise which sounds like the disk drives seeking every 15 secs when there is no access activity from any PC. The unit firmware is 4.2.19, the drives are Seagate Constellation ES ST32000644NS. There are no errors in the logs and everything on Frontview is green. The noise persists even if the network cable is disconnected from the unit. I can see the disk activity light flash when the noise happens. The disk lights below are solid green. Is this a normal sound/behavior? The unit seems to work properly in all aspects.

- I would advise contacting the tech support and send in the system logs for review. it could be hard disk issue and need RMA.
- rtpnc6AspirantThe logs are clear and the SMART attributes are fine as well. No Reallocated sectors at all. It really sounds like the drives are resynching with each other on a periodic basis. I'll discuss with tech support, but I'm not sure what additional items should be examined.
