Thank you Casey for your input - I will definitively try this at home ;-) It sounds logical, as both drives I use for my PS3. First option does not actually work - as when changing owner to nobody and nogroup - after pressing Apply button setting just goes back to root/root...
The only thing is that when these drives are plugged in any other PC I can access and read/write files without problem?
Will try and update thread once I figure out your second suggestion - I admit I am geek - but inverted one so no clue on FTP protocole (yet ;-)
