Hello everyone. Today I made an update to version 6.2.1 OS6. I do not know what tempted me, it seemed to me that everything will play as with previous updates. After the update I uninstalled ajax 4. System announced that after uninstalling needs to do a reset. Up to this point everything was ok. However, after the reset RN102 does not want to get up. I can not log in to the administration panel, Readycloud shows that the device is offline and the LED "power" on the case all the time just blinking. FTP also can not get the resources. The only place through which I can get to the RN102 is windows explorer - at least for the moment.I would add that I have only one disk and do not want to do a reset to factory settings because I do not want to backup almost 2TB of data ... I do not even no place anywhere.Is it possible to do something about it?

Regarding not wanting to backup your data: would you be happy of it was all lost, is it easily replaceable?If you can access the data, then I would first do a backup.If you are happy to risk data loss, or the data is replaceable easily, then you could try:Power down and do an OS reinstall using the boot menu:http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detai ... -or-312%3FAn OS reinstall does not wipe the disks, password and network settings will be reset though. It's pretty safe.Don't do a factory default.

Small update.Ater an hour LED stop blinking. I can get to the NAS via FTP. PyLoad and qbittorent also apply. DLNA server also revived. Still, I can not get into the control panel by address 192.168.0.100 - I get a message that the website is not available. Readycloud see that RN102 is online but i can't browse any data.I understand that the method of pressing the "reset" button on the back of the case and "Disk 2 led" is safe for my data? Do not lose them?

It is safe if you follow the instructions in the link I posted to do a OS reinstall.Nothing is absolutely perfect though and you should always have backups. Your current setup with one disk and no backup is really asking for trouble.

I know but I can not afford at this time on the second drive. Buying NAS was dictated by the lack of internal disk space in desktop and laptop.I'll try the OS reinstallBut how can I turn off the RN102 without access to admin panel? When I take out the power plug, and I'll put it back, the unit is switched on. I can pull the plug, push the reset, plug back, and thus initiate the procedure?

You should be able to shut down using the power button, press it once , the power led should blink, then press the power button again and it should shut down. Pulling the power forces a shutdown and should be the method of last resort.

Thanks for the information. I hope that Netgear is working on a solution to this problem in future updates. Until then, I will not update the system.

Okay i looked at it and deletet a file in /usr/share/mumble-django.

Now it works again and it seems to be stable.

Think I had a similar problem when uninstalling Netgear Surveillance, that I didn't use anyway, but had installed once out of curiosity. After about two minutes into the uninstall, connection was lost to the admin page. Only way to reach the server was through SSH. My website was also down, so the problem had to be related to the web server. Having seen this thread earlier, looked at sites-enabled and saw the symbolic link for 090-surveillance.conf, the application I had just (tried) to remove. After deletion of the symbolic link 090-surveillance.conf -> /apps/surveillance/http.conf and restart of apache and things came back alive. Thanks for sharing your findings! Made my live a bit easier :)
