RAID scrubbing taking 2+ days to complete
Up until recently, it would take between 9-10 hours each week to scrub the disks. It started on Aug 26 where you can see in the logs where the scrubbing started but when I got home that night, I noticed it it was not finished so I rebooted it. You can then see on Sept 2, it started again but I decided to reboot it that night as well as it was still running.
On Sept 9, you can see that it run the normal ~9 hours but then on Sept 16, it ran for 2+ DAYS. It is taking that long again for the scrubbing that started today.
As of the time of this posting:
Resync 52% complete, Time to finish 32 hr 30 min, Speed 11.5 MB/sec
I check the status and at times, the speed is like 9000 Kb/sec. Not sure why it is fluctuating. I checked the Smart details on the drives but did not see anything unusual. I can post that if you want to see it.
Any ideas?

- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredSounds like there might be a disk having issues. After the scrubbing completes run the "Disk Test" boot option: http://www.readynas.com/kb/faq/boot/how_do_i_use_the_boot_menu
- strickAspirantThanks...I suspected that it was one of the drives too. I will run the tool and report back once the sync ever finishes.
- strickAspirantOK. The scrubbing finally finished last night and I ran the disk test but I do not see any entries in the Frontview log file. I downloaded the All Logs but not sure which file I should be looking at.
