RAIDar 4.38 stuck on "UPDATE" and no Volume is showing
I was having issues re power supply (V12 error), and the READYNAS Ultra 2 was off this morning when I checked. I swapped out for a new power brick and rebooted. The readynas was'nt showing up on trhe network. I figured that the OS got corrupted, so I installed a new os using the boot menu function.
RAIDar now sees the box, but there is no light on the Volume Status, and the info section reads "Updating" and has for at least a half hour. Suggestions?

Both disks have gree lights in raidar - still say "updating" and still no volume is being shown. I assume that my data is gone and i just need to do a factory restart?

If you are running 4.2.x firmware, then you can try powering down the NAS and connecting one of the disks to a Windows PC (either with SATA or a USB-Sata adapter). There's a free utility (R-linux for windows) that should be able to read the data volume. http://www.r-tt.com/free_linux_recovery/
Note if you are using RAID-0 to span both disks, this won't work. But it should work with jbod (two volumes), XRAID, or RAID-1.
