Raidar has constant blue light and cannot access setup
Hi, I am new to all this so please be patient. I have a Readynas Duo and when i connect it to raidar there is a constant blue light and it wont let me connect to setup.
So There is no way i can connect to my readynas, on the Duo the blue power light just flashes ON/OFF. I have one Western 2TB hard drive and when it is in the Duo, Raidar
does not pick up the Duo at all.??? any help

- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredDo you have any data on the Duo? If so is that data backed up?
If you purchased the Duo less than 90 days ago give tech support a call, otherwise open a free online case at my.netgear.com. Please post your case number. - dbzismeAspirantI dont have data which i have to worry about. I bought the duo on ebay a while ago but it just stopped working.
where do I post my case number?.
the duo just has a high fan noise and blue power button flashes constant. - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredCan you try an OS Re-install?: http://www.readynas.com/kb/faq/boot/how_do_i_use_the_boot_menu#duo_nv_nv_x6600
- dbzismeAspirantHi have tried this, but the blue power light just keeps on flashing,
and with my hard drive in the slot Raidar cannot pick up the Duo. - dbzismeAspirantAnyone?
- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredFor the OS Re-install to work the hard drive would need to be installed.
- dbzismeAspirantThe harddrive is insalled in slot 2 now, I had it in slot 1.
nothing seems to happen with the harddrive in, shall I buy another harddrive? - StephenBGuru - Experienced Userdid you try the drive in slot 1? (power down the duo before moving it).

sometimes with the disk in the readynas shows on the raidar and on the far right it will say something like "bad disk"
Sounds like you should hook the drive up to a SATA port in your PC and test it using vendor tools - dbzismeAspirantI am using a Laptop, is there a way to see frontview so i can download new firmware, slot 1 or slot 2 doesnt do anything, when the disk is out
its the only time raidar can see the duo.
very painful
