Random corrupt word, excel and pdf files (Readynas 1100)
Hi
I have a Readynas 1100 with 4 1Tb disks in. I also have 8 people with Windows 8 and 10 machines running office 2012 and 2016 opening and saving files to the shared drive.
Last week we started getting corrupt files, I.e. Excel cannot open the file, excel also cannot open or repair the file. This is also affecting word files and PDFs which were accessed Thursday and Friday last week.
the issue has persisted today, but it's not every file its a bit random.
Could anybody point me in the direction of some tools I can use to start diagnosing the problem.

So you didn't change anything on the NAS side before the problem started?
You might want to run the memory test boot menu option a few times.
What do the SMART stats of your disks look like?
If you download the logs from the system are there any problems mentioned with disks or memory in diagnostics.log?
