I have returned finally home and swapped the drives... and it works fine.
Oh well, problem solved, next time use more brain...

Ok now I feel completely stupid...

I have indeed reinstalled the old disk.
I think I even know how it happened. I wasn't able to fix the disk in the plastic holder of the tray, so I put it back, removed the frame from the metal tray and when I got the disk back, I must have picked up the old one.
Oh and the other disk has similar power on hours... I think I'm going to switch off my NAS and keep it off until I come back home.

I'm glad that all is well.
FWIW, it's easy to make mistakes when manipulating disks - that's one reason it's good to make sure your back up is up-to-date first.
