    Understood.  Still, the access to the Z drive means that you can solve this problem using the Windows Credential Manager.

     

    Windows Credential Manager is in the control panel, if you type "Credential" in the search bar you should see it.  You delete any credentials that are currently saved for the NAS (either IP address or name), and create two new windows credentials - one for the NAS name, and one for the IP.  You can use admin credentials (as you did in the net use test) or you can use any other local NAS account that has access to the shares you want.  You might want to do another net use * /delete before you modify the credentials.
