Performance issues after 6.4 update
Our 516 unit is behaving so badly after the 6.4 update, constant SMB connections dropouts, checksum errors while copying large files, unresponsive and laggy web interface. During backup jobs to an ex...
I agree... 6.2.4 was really stable as was 6.3.5RC2 but 6.4.0 is constantly having issues with dropouts here. One moderator likes to blame the choice of drive I use but they worked great under 6.2.4.
It's sad they pushed out such an unpolished firmware as an update. It's not like these are betas, and if anyone has a production server like you do they're in for a world of hurt!
Exactly. I'm using WD Red NAS drives, they all get scrubbed, defragged and balance every two weeks and I keep my NAS in top shape. Only two apps running (Anti Virus and Surveillance), UPS power and load balancing Gigabit links. This shouldn't be happening.
