As a followup, here's some of the log data. My suspicion is this is related to the antivirus, which I have disabled. for the time being. That seems to be the only thing that has changed over the past month or so with the OS update to 6.6.1 Wed Jan 25 2017 9:08:16 System: ReadyNASOS background service started. I'll cross-post this here as well. These errors are being generated by the antivirus upgrade in 6.6.1. Disabling the antivirus has returned my system back to normal. The antivirus upgrade in 6.6.1 is buggy as all hell. It's apparently the cause of my other post "RN 312 Firmware 6.6.1 Strange backup errors".
Monitoring the antivirus definition file updates led me to find that my failures were happening right after these updates.
