ReadyNas NV+ admin password issues

I recently purchased a new Yamaha home theater receiver, which won't play files from my ReadyNas.  In researching that issue I realized I need to perform a firmware upgrade as I am quite out of date ...

For 4.x software, the default admin user is admin and the password is netgear1.

Ah...a solution that simple.  Thanks so much, Sandshark.  Everything I had read listed "password" as the default.  Much appreciated.

    Hello bbrian30,

     

    Default password of ReadyNAS OS5 and ReadyNAS OS6 is password. You are using a ReadyNAS OS4 which uses netgear1 for default password. :)
