ReadyNAS NVX web interface no longer works in Windows 10
Hi, I recently fired up my ReadyNAS NVX Business Edition to set up some new backup jobs after a period of many months of inactivity. The system booted up ok and performed an FS check successfully...

Hi Phil, I think he means is the data is that is on the readynas backed up somewhere?
Since you indicate that the readynas itself is a backup for another server, you may want to consider making an up to date backup on a different device, if possible. External drive or another server for example, if you don't have an additional dedicated backup nas.
you might try using a different computer to see if the web admin works on a physically different computer, just to rule out something specific to your desktop.
Alternatively, if you have the resources you could try running a virtual windows 7 machine (or even a linux VM) using either hyper-v or virtualbox.
You may want to do some google research on windows 10 and virtual machines if you decided to go this route.

Hi mdgm,
No, the backup is quite out of date to be honest. The NAS acts as a backup for a Linux server, but I haven't run an incremental in too long really.

Hi TeknoJnky- yes, it depends on your attitude to risk - I have another copy of what's on the NAS, on the server it backs up!! I don't have any other copies though right now. I will take another backup to my USB drive of the most important areas.
I tried accessing the web interface from another Windows 10 machine - same problem.
I then tried accessing from my Raspberry Pi and the Chromium browser - and it works just fine! So, it appears that my NAS is actually ok, but doesn't really like Windows 10 and its new crop of browsers.
I could install a VM I guess - maybe a lite Linux distro - if I can't find a way of accessing it from Windows 10.
Thanks,
Phil

Hi again,
Following my success in operatiny my NVX via the web frontend on my Raspberry Pi, I decided to take TeknoJnky's advice and create a VM on Windows 10.
I installed Virtual Box and created an Ubuntu 16.04 desktop VM. I can now access the frontend fine using Firefox. This is good news, but I find it crazy that Firefox on Ubuntu works but the same browser on Windows 10 does not. It feels like built-in obsolence to me.
Thanks for your help - much appreciated.
Phil
