Ready DLNA - Media Server not detected after 1.1.2.2 update
Hi all
I just updated to Ready DLNA 1.1.2.2 on my Ultra 2 plus. After this update my PS3 and Panasonic VT60 Viera Smart TV are unable to detect the Media server. Rolling back to 1.1.1.2 fixes it. Any idea whats wrong? and is this the appropriate place to report this bug?
Thanks
Paul

- StephenBGuru - Experienced UserYou can report it at support.netgear.com. You could also try a PM to skywalker.
Do you have other players that do detect it? - ipaul81AspirantNo my PS3 and Smart TV's are the only players I have and they don't detect it after the update however Plex Media server on the NAS still operates ok.
- StephenBGuru - Experienced UserWhy do you want both ReadyDLNA and Plex?

I dont. I disabled Plex because its performance is not so great however I know it works because I reactivated it as part of my troubleshooting.
Paul - snipesAspirantSame problem on my Pro. The minidlna process isn't running after upgrading from 1.1.1.2 to 1.1.2.2. The GUI reports an error when stopping and starting the DLNA service.

Yep exactly same problem. I also noticed that the installed version number of Ready DLNA is not specified in Radiator once the upgrade is complete. Sounds like a busted ass version.
FYI I PM'd Skywalker regarding this the other day.
Paul - SkywalkerNETGEAR ExpertSorry guys, 1.1.2.3 should take care of that.
- snipesAspirantYes. 1.1.2.3 starts up correctly on my unit. Thanks
- ipaul81Aspirant1.2.2.3 working on mine too. Thanks Skywalker. I have to say that this is the first time DLNA has been this stable on my VT60 Panasonic. This update + assigning static IP's to the TV and NAS have done wonders.
