Ready DLNA stopped working for music streaming

OK, i tired the simplest part of this which was to unplug the WNR2000 form the switch and plug into a port on the DSL modem / router. No change. Would have been nice.
So you want me to go modem output>WNR2000 LAN in> LAN out >switch??? I am having a difficult time understanding what that would work differently than what I just did. Am I missing configuration changes required in ether case?
