I've just looked at the logs, they're pretty short, and I wonder if the fact that I had the Disk Spin Down feature (Admin > System > Power > Disk Spin-down) enabled may have caused a problem during the firmware update?
Power Timer was not enabled.
I have disabled Disk Spin Down for the moment, just in case, but would like to use it to save power in everyday use. The NAS will be likely to be accessed sporadically (a few times a day perhsps) and unlikely to be accessed at all during the night.
Happy to PM the log file to anyone in a position to provide advice.

I have the same issue. I don't think the Disk Spin would be the error as it was working fine before I upgraded the firmware

Thanks Tom.
I figured that the Disk Spin Down wouldn't be a factor, and agree that it's probably not, but as it was one of the few options that I had ticked I thought it best to include that info.
Is your problem the same in that the NAS was working fine under 6.7.3, but after firmware upgrade to 6.7.4 you now have a bunch of red disks and the "Remove inactive volumes..." error message?
I'll always ensure I have backups (onsite and cloud) but this isn't a good look for the NAS right now. Sigh.
