ReadyNAS 102 Source will not MOUNT

Win 7 PC - Norton Internet is off.  The source director can be accessed from two (2) other PC.  One Windows Home Server and another Win 7.  Alll on same 1 GB network (WadeGroup)

I have spent the better of two days.  .  . No direct solution on Google or community answers that works!

Thanks advance for your suggestions .  . . Frank

ReadyNAS 102 Source will not MOUNT - Why

  • Stephen,

Thank you for your suggestions on my issue.  I was able with your help, and a little luck, to get the ReadyNAS to WORK.  The final solution was to use the source IP in the Host field instead of the computer name.  Another interesting item is that the windows DNC back slash "\" is automaticly changed  to Unix foward slash "/" when I selected the start button.  Keep up the good work.

    Frank

These are likely things you've already tried, but just in case ...

    (1) check the account credentials used in the backup job to access the share

    (2) check the "share with" for the documents library.

    (3) Ensure the workgroups match

      Stephen,

Thanks for the input.  Everything looks good on the ReadyNAS side.  I am not able to use the "Browse" feature on the source setup side tro find the files to backup.. Could this be my issue?   Frank

The browse control is local (for the NAS).  I'd assumed the source was the remote PC???
