Your NAS admin password shouldn't have changed when you switched to mynetgear.com. The username is simply "admin". Are you going directly to the web admin page, or are you meaning ReadyCloud?
The NAS admin password can be set back to password by using the OS-reinstall option in the boot menu. That will also reset the network settings to use DHCP (the factory default). Data and other settings shouldn't be affected.
OS reinstall is described on pages 27-28 of the hardware manual ( http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/READYNAS-100/ReadyNAS_%20OS6_Desktop_HM_EN.pdf )
