ReadyNAS 104 and write-intent bitmap
I've a ReadyNAS 104 updated with latest OS (6.2.4).
Yesterday, after a power loss (my dad turned off the UPS  ) the NAS took 12 hour (after turned off all the apps, and fine-tuned some resync parameters otherwise the estimated time could be about 24 hours) to resync the 3 disks that form the (X-RAID) volume that I use for my backups. No data was lost.
But I've seen that the RAID volume don't uses the write-intent bitmap.
I guess that is disabled by default to not impact write performance.
But except for the impact on write performance there is any other specific reason to keep the write-intent bitmap disabled?
Because I might prefer to sacrifice some writing performance if this can drastically reduce the resync time when my dad... ehm... when the NAS is not shut down safely.
Thanks.
