ReadyNAS 104 Backup Button not working
The: front button "Backup" does not seem to start backup.
If I launch backup from dashboard,everything works fine.
If I press the front panel backup button, the ReadyNAS seems to receive the commamd, because the yellow status bar in the dashboard says "Backup button job is in progress" for a while but nothing gets copied, and there is nothing at all in the log afterwards. "Last Backup" date in the dashboard is not updated.
Firmware is up-to-date: 6.10.4 hotfix 1
Any suggestions?

Have you confirmed that the "Backup button" column in the backup job list says "yes" for the backup jobs?
If it already says that, you could try removing the jobs from the backup button list, and then adding them back.

Yes, the dashboard says "yes" in the backup button column for this job.
I re-created the job, it behaves just the same. Note that the Alarms panel says the job is in progress, but nothing is done. Starting from the dashboard, it works.
I've seen this problem in a few other posts, but haven't noted a solution....

FWIW, I only see one other instance - from 2016. No resolution is there, only a suggestion to contact paid support. There are some other cases where the backup button itself has failed - but that is not your situation.
I guess you could download the full log zip, and see if there are any clues in there.
