ReadyNAS 104 keeps going offline
Hi,
I just purchase the 104 and currently have 2x 3TB Barracuda installed (bay 2 and 4)
When I set it up it was initially working ok but now it keeps going offline.
It'll be listed as "Media Devices" (and occasionally even as "Storage") but not as "Computers", and the RAIDar panel keeps dropping back to the screen telling me to connect a device. I'll press rescan and sometimes it'll work, sometimes it won't. In fact I can sit here watching RAIDar and it will keep going between the online and offline screens.
Thought it may have been an IP conflict but have set static IP and changed router to not use that address and it's still doing it.
Thought it may have been firewall and security software so turned that off but it made no difference.
I've tried to shut down and restart but it doesn't matter what I do with the power button (yes, even press 3 times as instructed) the unit wont shut down.
I also have the LED error covered in another thread where the screen constantly says "Cannot connect discovery server" - I don't know that these issues are related but am mentioning for that sake of having all the facts.
Also fyi, it's connected to Netgear Router.
Any advice would be appreciated.
(oh look at that...it's offline again *sigh*)

- mikeemAspirantJust curious if you were able to resolve your issue. I just purchased the 104 and am having the same problem. Unit goes offline, power button is unresponsive and I am able to reconnect it once I pull the power plug and reconnect it. Continues happening however. Also running firmware 6.1.4 connected to airport extreme.
- nasissueAspirantI'm facing the exact same issue, did a solution ever get found?
- io2002oiAspirantI have the same issue, I searched around the forum its related to this thread: http://www.readynas.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=65&t=73537&start=45
I am frustrated over this issue and Its been 2-3 weeks already Netgear should release the 6.1.5 firmware quick so my NAS can be use
