ReadyNas 104 web server?

HI all.

I was wondering if it is possible to use ReadyNas RND 104 as web server in order to host my own web page? Is there a "how to" that I could use?
I had a look on the web, but everything that I could find was related to "RaidDiator" but I could not find anything related to the new ReadyNas OS. I have read on the forums that it is quite easy, but to be honest with you, I could not find anything that would point me out what to do.

Can anybody help me?
Thanks a lot for your help and time.
Cheers.

  • Since the RN104 is based on debian with a fully functional SSH access and apache, yes it's possible through SSH configuration of apache.
You can also use the interface to create a share and share it using HTTP. You will be able to add/edit files through AFP or SMB (whatever you activated on the share) and access the web server at the address http://NAS_IP/SHARE_NAME after apache have been reloaded (it didn't automatically reload on my NAS, but a NAS reboot should do the trick if you don't want to go SSH).

You have specific apps to install some common website generators like joomla, wordpress, drupal, oscommerce and phpBB. Phpmyadmin and mysql are also available.
  • Thanks xeltros.

I will have a look to your suggestions and post my results on this forum.

    Cheers.
