ReadyNAS 204 no ethernet connection #27311475

After rebooting my readynas will no longer get an IP address. On shutdown it displays a "do_exit+890". It won't shut off and I have to pull the plug. The green light is on all the time on one of the NICs, and there is no lights that come on on the other NIC. I attempted a factory reset and an os reinstall, but it still gives the same error, and doesn't get an IP address. During the factory reset, it locked up with an "al_eth_set_wol+54" error being displayed. Rebooting after that brought the NAS up, but no ethernet ports work. I can't get any access to the NAS.

I feel like the NIC ports have gone bad, and I don't know what else to do.

    Hi datacloud,

    Welcome to the community!

Can you confirm if both Link/Activity LED are lit on the ethernet port used? If none, contact our support team to process an RMA for your ReadyNAS chassis.

    Kind regards,

  • Actually yes. I tried going through the site a couple times and it gave me an error at the end. I was just trying again today actually. I filled the product and the hardware issue and hit submit and it lands on an error page. I can't seem to get any contact info or open a hardware RMA. Could you kick off the process for me?

Many thanks to you Brian and Paul as well -- please let him know I appreciated his help in getting the RMA filed. Once Paul was able to open the case, everything has gone just fine and the instructions all worked. Thanks again to both of you.
