ReadyNAS 214 available on local network but will not connect to internet
Hi guys, I'm hoping someone can help point me in the right direction here. I have had my ReadyNAS 214 server for over a year now with no problems but last week I noticed I was unable to access it ac...

The link looks more like a quick start guide than a user manual. I do see more more info here: http://www.skyuser.co.uk/forum/content/167-port-forwarding-setting-up-port-forwarding-use-existing-set-up-custom-services.html
Anyway, you need set up an inbound service, not outbound. The remote web browser needs to connect to the NAS service, not the other way around. By default outbound connections are allowed.
I'd also forward both TCP and UDP (assuming there is a "both" option n the services screen).

Thanks for the quick reply!
I run this as a server for Plex and primarily access the server through the Plex app - I had originally noticed that this app was only available through the local network and not over the internet which is how I discovered this problem. I did afterwards see the same issue via ReadyCloud.
I have made the changes you have suggested (disabled IPv6, setup an IP reservation on the router and added Google DNS Server to the NAS) but the same problems exist even after complete reboot of both the server and router :(
I did notice that after reboot of the server, the settings reverted to the default (IPv6 was re-enabled and the Google DNS address was missing) - I have reset this but is this to be expected?
Thank you

No its not, and that means something is likely wrong.

Just wanted to note that this is still an issue for me - can you please confirm that the logs have been received?
Thanks
