ReadyNAs 3138 no more detect whith RAIDar

Helo,

I use a ReadyNAS 3138.

I installed it and all was ok until i moved it and rack it in this definitive location.

Now i can't connect to it (no ping) and Raidar doesn't detect it.

RAIDar detect the other Netgear ReadyNas on the same network.

Someone can help me.

Thanks .

M.

  • Hi DaneA,

    Thanks.

I found the problem : The interfaces was configure to DHCP and there are no DHCP serveur => No ip
After i read when there are no IP (DHCP) the IP default was 192.168.168.168/24
But it doesn't work (with my PC : 192.168.168.100/24)
So i configured a DHCP server in the network and i can connect the ReadyNas and configure a static IP.
    Now all is OK.

    Thanks

    Hi MB78,

    Welcome to the community! :)

    Kindly answer the questions below:

    a. Have you checked the physical connections on where the ReadyNAS 3138 should be connected to?

    b. Is the IP address of the ReadyNAS 3138 within the same IP range of the other ReadyNAS that is detected by RAIDar?

    c. Have you tried changing the ethernet cable/s?

    d. Is the ethernet port LED lit up on the ReadyNAS 3138 when its connected to the existing network?

I look forward to your response.

    Regards,
