ReadyNAS 314 NIC Failing after firmware update
I have been operating my RN314 for nearly 5 years without problems or issues. With my UPS, uptime has been nearly 99.9% the entire time. I recently purchased a pair of 12TB drives to upgrade my sto...

My original purchase date for this NAS is 6/28/2013 so I should still be within 5 years (barely) if there is a warranty left. I have attached partial, but hopefully relevent logs and commands.
I attempted to open a support case, but based on support descriptions and my situation, this unit does not qualify for either gearhead or prosupport (or does it?). Is there another hardware issue support line I can submit this to other than community?
What you could do is assume it's a hardware problem, and request an RMA from my.netgear.com. They might ask for a credit card first, so they can charge you for software support if it turns out to be that. It would at least ensure that the RMA request beats the warranty expiration.
On the troubleshooting side - if you can live without the files for a couple of days you could remove the disks (labeling by slot) and do a fresh factory install with a scratch disk (not part of the array). Load up some of your files, and put the NAS under load - seeing if you can duplicate the problem on a completely fresh system.

Thanks for the reply. I have not had a chance to reset to factory defaults using spare drives yet, maybe this weekend. The attached is what happened last night, however. The events in the log appear to have occurred within a 2 minute time frame. One NIC failed, second NIC failed. One NIC tries to recover, then fails again. I had to hard power cycle the NAS this morning to reach it again.
Is there a repository of older e1000 NIC drivers I could try before rebuilding the NAS from scratch? Like I said, this problem started with a firmware update which probably included a driver update with it. I would like to try a NIC driver rollback first.
Thanks again.

Which firmware did you update from?
There was a driver update in 6.9.0 but it was reverted in 6.9.1- EornomJun 13, 2018Aspirant
I purchased the unit in 2013. I do not believe I updated firmware from purchase date. I'm not sure what version it was on when I upgraded to ~6.9.3 (I think).... So it's about 5 years old and rock solid until now.
