Thanks for the reply! My understanding was RAID 5.1 was RAID 5 with a hot spare. It's very possible that I'm misunderstanding. I've read through the logs, and while I see where the error is (in the kernel.log), I don't know what to do with it. I sent you link to the logs - I'm hoping you may see something in there that's meaningful to you?
