How many disks are in 3200? Is it the full 12?
I can understand why the fans are on full speed, and it better to keep a lower temp, rather than let it drift higher.
It is generally the expectation that rackmount NAS are housed in server rooms, that are temperature controlled, and not within the audible vicinity of office workers.
So, I disagree with mdgm regarding noise.
So, give consideration to location and environment. Otherwise your other option is the add-on.
