So as you can see 5 of the 12 disks in your data volume are marked as spare (S). In your case the data volume array is md127.
Can you send me your logs (see the Sending Logs link in my sig)?

Is your backup up to date?
I can see your data volume is 100% fullYou shouldn't let your volume get that full. That probably explains why you've been having issues.
The expansion can be forced but I'd be much more comfortable with doing that if you have an up to date backup.- intraxictApr 18, 2017Aspirant
We have purchased 2 of these units for disk based backups. We still have old backup system in place so answer is "Yes - our backup is up to date".
