ReadyNas Duo from 500gb to 4 tb
Good morning. I bought a ReadyNAs Duo containing one 500gb disk and, separately, two 2tb disks, WD Caviar Green. After installing the Duo on my network, I inserted one of the bigger disks in the free...
With just one disk installed try updating to 4.1.8. Then power down, put the other disk in as well and do a factory reset. The ARM (5.3.x) firmware is for a different platform and will not install on the Duo v1.
It's up to you whether or not you risk using these 2TB disks or not. If you backup your data regularly you may find it worth the risk.
