Normally what you do is look at the various devices on your network (including your router/switch), and pick the smallest jumbo frame size in the mix. In my case my laptop has the smallest size (4K). The Duo will support up to 9K jumbo frames.

If you want to try it, pick the largest config on the card, and set the jumbo frame size on the NAS. I suggest that you measure drop-and-drag file transfer speeds with jumbo frames on and off. Some people see a big increase in speed, others see no increase (or even a decrease). With my devices it didn't help, so I have left jumbo frames off.

BTW, If you access the NAS over WiFi, check the WiFi path as well. WiFi doesn't use jumbo frames. The NAS should deal with that, though your other network devices might not.
