ReadyNAS Duo unresponsive and "Act" light blinking
My unit has run perfectly since installing it around 2014. Very soon after a firmware update it became unresponsive as if it is too busy to talk to me. I can occassionally access the drive. I can enter the admin password but never get the control panel screen in return... it times out. Everything looks normal except the "Act" light is blinking. After a few days I unplugged it... since it would not reboot via buttons. It restarted and continued the same behavior. This has gone on for a few days now. Can someone help me with what is possibly happening and how to resolve this?

I'm sure someone will ask for the firmware version. I would have mentioned that but can't get into the system. It was probably whatever is "the latest" becuase it prompted for an update when I got into the admin page a couple of weeks ago.

Got in briefly and got the firmware version:
6.10.5 Hotfix 1

FWIW, calling this a "Duo" will create some confusion, since the Duo (and Duo v2) were specific two-bay models. The RN212 isn't a Duo.

Hotfix 1 is supposed to fix the issue you are having ( a login loop when you try to access the NAS web ui).
Were you logged out when you "got in briefly"? Is it possible that your issue is actually resolved now?
What browser are you using?
