ReadyNAS Duo v1 unable to access frontview #23794847

I can not access front view on my Duo v1
It has the latest version of fronview installed. I have tried powering it down with the button and powering it back up, unplugging it and powering it back up, OS reinstall several times.
I can access the data from my iMac but transmission remote says connection refused when trying to access the ReadyNAS
When trying to access frontview it states safari can't open the page because safari can't connect to the server
Any suggestions on what to do?

Do you have access to a Windows PC? (you'd need one if you need to copy the data off with linux reader).

Also, did you try pinging the NAS?

Was it misbehaving before it stopped connecting? For instance, dropping off the network and needing to be rebooted.
  • No windows PC, no problems before
I contacted tech support and the had to escalate my case and put my nas in tech support mode. Now I'm just waiting for them to do their thing and call me back.
  • HI UA22Plumber,

Good to know they are already assisting you. You may want to put your ticket or case number here so that mgdm or other Netgear supports can also look at your case if they are around here somewhere and lurking LOL

    Found the case number.

The initial attempt to resolve the issue was unsuccessful. The OS partition was full which can in some cases cause problems that mean a fair bit of troubleshooting is needed to resolve the issue. Teamviewer has been setup for the L3 to look into it further.
  • Frontview is now accessible but I now get an error when frontview initially load
    States "error_invalid_security_mode"

Also I can access all the files but I can not delete any of them. I get an error stating that
"The operation can't be completed because you do not have permission to access some of the items"

The Duo (v1) only supports User mode, so if for some reason the NAS thinks it is in a different mode that could explain the error.
