Hi amadlmayer,
In order to access your shares in your ReadyNAS Duov2 remotely over the internet, you need forward FTP and HTTP ports in your router pointing to the local IP address of your ReadyNAS Duov2. Kindly access and read the old forum link below for further information:

Read also pages 37-40 of the ReadyNAS Duo v2 software manual here.

Thanks for your feedback and the proposed solution via FTP.
Some 4 years ago I was using FTP to access my ReadyNAS remotely, after an update of my router FW I was not able to make it work...than I used the ReadyNAS remote app on my smartphone and everything was fine. Now recently the ReadyNAS remote app doesn't work anymore and there is no new version available in Google Play. That means I will try harder to make FTP work again....
kind regards
Fredi

I'm afraid to inform you that the ReadyNAS Remote is already discontinued as of September 30, 2017. Kindly read the announcement here.
Is your router a NETGEAR device? If yes, I suggest you to post your concern on how to configure port forwarding on the appropriate NETGEAR Community board or open a chat or online case with NETGEAR Support for assistance.
