ReadyNAS Duo v2 / WD RED 3TB x 2 / Erase Volume

The problem is that you have a duo v1. A duo v2 would run 5.3.x firmware.

It only recognises 746gb!
Fw is 4.1.12 which it automatically downloaded from netgear.

Your v1 is limited to 2 TB drives. So you either need to downgrade the drive size or upgrade the NAS. If you upgrade the NAS don't go with a duo v2, get an RN102 instead.
