If it is a Duo v2 press the power button briefly twice to shutdown the NAS safely.
It is a v1 press and hold the power button for five seconds and it will shutdown.
The turn it on again. Does it pickup an I.P. address?
If it's still not fixed shutdown the NAS again and follow the boot menu instructions in the hardware manual to do an OS Re-install.
To see if you have a v1 or v2 see e.g. http://www.rnasguide.com/2012/01/09/how-to-tell-whether-i-have-a-duo-v1-or-duo-v2-or-nv-v1-or-nv-v2/
A number of users believe they have a v2 when in fact they have a v1 through no fault of their own.
