However, when I visit the Support Download Centre V4.2.28 is not listed as an available download. I logged into my NAS and started the UPDATE Process where it proceeded to re-install V4.1.14.
The email also states that this Firmware version will be the last for this product as it is reaching EOL.
I'm confused! Can anyone enlighten me as exactly which Firmware version I should be using.
Many Thanks.

First of all, you have a duo v1 (read this: http://www.rnasguide.com/2012/01/09/how-to-tell-whether-i-have-a-duo-v1-or-duo-v2-or-nv-v1-or-nv-v2/ )
Second, you shouldn't have received that email. Your duo is already EOL (some years back).
4.1.14 is the current firmware for your NAS. There is a 4.1.15 beta you could also use which has a couple of security patches. I'd assume that there won't be any more updates to 4.1.x firmware either (though hopefully they will release 4.1.15).

Hi StephenB, thanks for your response. I'm surprised that you say I have a ReadyNAS Duo v1, it clearly states on the label affixed the underside of the NAS that is is a ReadyNas Duo v2. Your enclosed link for me to establish which I actually have is "Page not found".
For info, the Serial No is: xxx

The link is fixed - the closing ) somehow got included.
All 4.1.x systems are v1s. If you had a v2 it would be running 5.x.x firmware. Read the link - the short story is that the label doesn't mean what you think.

Thanks again StephenB. Having now seen the post, its a bit clearer, and you are right, it is a v1!
I'll ignore the email and sign-off on this now, thanks again.

I also received the email from Netgear today.
Where can I find the 4.1.15 beta to download it?

Appreciative for this thread. No idea why I got this email and irked I went through so much trouble that seems to be for naught as the update doesn't apply to me (I have a Duo v1).
I'm surprised to see I'm runing 4.1.19, though, and of course no idea how or when that happened as it's been a few years. Anyway, thanks.
